MV Avalon Fleet I Liveaboard is the Avalon Fleets top luxury boat. She accomodates 16 guests in 8 air-conditioned en-suite cabins complete with TV and cabin to cabin telephone system.
She is beautifully fitted out - finished in pickled oak and with a spacious relaxing lounge area with comfortable sofas, desk and computer for editing photographs. Finishings are in a clean modern contemporary style and design wise everything fits together extremely well.
The dining area is on the upper deck and complete with a bar to sit at with a drink as you wait for dinner to be served. Lobster is a particular speciality on board and the food in general is top quality being a mix of Continental, Italian, and traditional Cuban prepared fresh by a qualified chef.
The outdoor deck areas are large and partially covered to ensure some shade and the large sundeck is fitted with a Jacuzzi - perfect for relaxing in with a drink after a days diving, there is also a grill on this deck and some deck chairs.
The Jardines de la Reina (Gardens of the Queen) Marine Park is the area of choice for scuba diving in Cuba and is usually visited by the liveaboard diving vessels in the area. Due to the remoteness of the location it is only dived via liveaboard, so the environment is pristine and the diving sites relatively untouched.
Diving facilities are excellent and there are 2 or 3 dives per day with a standard trip including 15 dives from Sunday to Thursday. You can plan extra dives if you wish with the on-board instructors. Any of the Avalon Fleet boats is an excellent choice for a liveaboard diving vacation to explore the dive sites of Cuba.
