The MV Halcon is a member of the Avalon fleet and slightly larger than the smallest vessel in the fleet. She accommodates 12 divers in 6 cabins and is perfect for a private charter or diving club trip. She is 23m long and has six cabins sharing 3 bathrooms. All cabins are air conditioned.
The main deck has a large, fully air conditioned saloon, with comfortable sofas, the perfect place to relax with a drink before dinner. It is equipped with a TV, DVD and a sound system to watch movies or alternatively view your recently shot underwater video or photographs.
Halcons bow is very spacious and makes an excellent sundeck, and on the upper deck you have the wheelhouse complete with a balcony offering excellent views of the deserted beaches and islands. You will often dine on the upper fly deck where there is a cooling breeze and spectacular view.
The cuisine on Halcon is excellent and freshly prepared by the on board chef who combines the style of the best Continental Italian cuisine with seafood and traditional Cuban favorites like black bean soup, rice and beans and fried bananas. Lobster is regulatrly served as a speciality and salads and various fruits are served at every meal. Desserts feature Cuban caramel custard, puddings, pies, rum-flavored cakes, cookies and many others. Vegetarian and kosher meals are served on request with many different choices available.
Beverages available on board are: Sparkling and tonic water, various soft drinks, juices, rums, whisky, beers and excellent wines. Bottled mineral water (2 lt/day is included).
Diving facilities are good with a spacious dive deck and the experienced crew will assist you in visiting dive sites that are rarely frequented and in some cases may not have been dived for many years or at all.
