The Ocean Hunter III is a 29m steel hull liveaboard. Previously named RV Lady Basten she operated primarily in the waters of the Great Barrier Reef as a research vessel. In 2007 she was re-fitted and became Ocean Hunter III. She has been operating in Palau since 2008. She is designed primarily for professional Photography, Videograpy, TV and Film Production.
Her 8 cabins accomodate up to 16 guests and are all air-conditioned and en-suite with hair dryers and storage closets. The main deck has an air conditioned saloon with a TV/DVD/CD/VCR with support for PAL, SECAM and NTSC. There is a computer station for movie and video editing with download, email and CD burning services.
For entetainment and relaxation there is a stereo player and an assortment of movies, CDs, playing cards and books. The large dining area is complete with an espresso machine, a small bar and a flat screen TV. The galley is adjacent to the saloon.
The upper sun-deck area is partially shaded and has chaise lounges, chairs and two hot tubs for relaxation. The spacious dive deck is equipped with personal gear boxes, in-place fill stations and a seperate room for camera equipment with tables and 415/220/110V outlets.The 10m dive tender is there to assist if required for access to dive sites and surface cover. . .
