MV Solitude One is a converted 52m (171ft) steel-hulled merchant vessel. She was re-fitted in 2013. Designed specifically for liveaboard diving tours she is one of the largest vessels in the area. She accomodates a maximum of 22 guests in 10 cabins.
All cabins are en-suite with a safe deposit box, bath robes, towels, hair dryer, reading lights, shampoo, duvet, ample hangers & wardrobe organisers and flat-screen LCD TV with USB media support.The experienced staff address you by name and can usually anticipate individual needs so they appear only when required, allowing you the privacy and exclusivity of a “home away from home”.
The lounge area is a good combination of relaxing sofas and chairs as well as more upright desks for playing cards or a board game. The partially shaded sundeck is perfect for getting a tan or relaxing under the shaded portion with a book. It is also an excellent viewing platform to see large marine life or marvel at the astonishing night sky with no artificial light around.
Photographers and Videographers are well catered for with a camera room placed adjacent to the Lounge, the space is purpose-built for safely stowing camera and video equipment, for prepping, charging batteries and working on. There are also PC's available if you want to leave your laptop at home as well as a library of selected periodicals and books for some reading time.
Depending on the trip there may also be a massage therapist on board so you can relax on deck whilst they soothe any aches after a days diving.
Tea, Coffee and soft drinks and snacks are available at all times for your convenience and meals are planned to accomodate most tastes and can also accomodate most dietary requirements if informed in advance. An on-board bar is well stocked with spirits wines and beer (at extra cost).
The dive deck is huge for just 22 guests and includes equipment storage and camera rinse areas that are all thoughtfully designed and positioned.
