Offering two top class suites and total accomodation for 22 guests as well as being one of the only liveaboards to depart from Phuket rather than Khao Lak the Scuba Explorer is a popular choice. At 36.8m x 7.8m she is large and stable and further she has hull stabilizers to reduce roll (which is little anyway due to her size) so you are very unlikely to get seasick.
The entire interior of Scuba Explorer is air-conditioned and she can comfortably accommodate up to 22 guests in 11 cabins. Her size and spaciousness will impress even the most seasoned liveaboard diver. The cabins are extremely spacious even for a luxury vessel and the dive deck is large enough for 40 divers not the small number she accommodates. The communal dining and saloon areas are spacious also and there is a central music system that is available all over the vessel but with volume control in each area including the Sundeck.
Departures are in the evening from Phuket and her cruising speed of 12 knots has you waking up greeted by the Similan Islands paradise after a comfortable nights rest.
A range of cabins help keep Scuba Explorer affordable from Standard which simply offer a comfortable bed, to Deluxe that give you more room, a sea view and a fridge through to Luxury that are even more spacious with full en-suite and TV/DVD. All of the cabins have multiple electric outlets (AC 220V) for charging batteries for cameras, phones etc.
The 16 crew are extremely experienced (both boat crew and divemasters) and are on hand to assist you at all times if required. Scuba Explorer offers 3 and 4 night trips to either the North Andaman (Similans) or South (Phi Phi area) from the end of October to the beginning of May.
